Visas and Immigration

All International students are required to apply for a study visa prior to entering the UK for their studies. The Limkokwing London International Admissions office has been put in place to effectively guide students in their preparation for applying for a Study visa to the UK.

Alternatively, students can seek for advice from their nearest British Embassy or certified Visa processing center and recruitment agent.

Students planning to apply for their visas should prepare the following documents after having completed the VISA application form available from the Limkokwing London International Admissions Office or their nearest British Embassy.


Supporting Documents

Financial Statements

  • Original Fixed deposit slip
  • Original Current account - latest past 3 months transactions statement
  • Original Savings account - latest past 3 months transactions statement
  • Original Provident Funds statement
  • Others e.g. Fixed assets, shares, bonds, trust funds

Source of Income

If your sponsor is under employment:

  • Income tax payment – certified true copy
  • Original Pay slips – latest past 3 months
  • Original Letter from the employment company

If your sponsor owns a company:

  • Company registration / incorporation under the sponsor’s name – certified true copy (preferably original)
  • Income tax payment of company – certified true copy
  • Original Company financial statements – latest past 3 months

Academic Transcripts

  • Original transcripts of current and previous studies
  • Original High school results, e.g. O-Levels, A-Levels, etc

UK Student Visa Application Charges

The Visa application charges varies from country to country and is subject to charges as set by respective application centers.

Original Letter of Undertaking by the Sponsor

The content is to state that the sponsor will bear all the expenses during the stay of the student in UK.

1 passport sized photograph (must be in white background)

Original "Unconditional Offer" letter

Receipt for tuition fees paid

Confirmation of Accommodation


Renewing your Student Visa

There are restrictions on extending your Leave to Remain in the UK as a student. If you are not currently in the UK with Entry Clearance as a STUDENT (for example if you are in the UK with a visitor visa) please contact the International Student Services Department.
