Paragon is located in Brentford, close to Ealing. The local area of Brentford has a lot to offer for residents, from a wide range of leisure, food and drink venues, and shop facilities, as well as all the public services you would expect. It is also close to the River Thames and Grand Union Canal.
In September 2006 Thames Valley University opened a new purpose built student residential accommodation, called Paragon. The accommodation is owned |
and managed by Touareg Trust, part of Presentation, a social investment agency. The building consists of four blocks of accommodation arranged as 810 single study bedrooms and 29 studios.
The following rooms are available in Limkokwing’s specially arranged accommodation with TVU in Paragon Halls, near Ealing. There are 810 study rooms available in Paragon, each of these will:
- have en-suite toilet and shower facilities
- be in a flat of eight study rooms, with a communal living
room and fully fitted kitchen
- be fitted to the highest standard
- have broadband internet access
- be accessible by wheelchair and served by lifts.
- There will also be 29 studio apartments available for
students, which will each have a study bedroom, fitted kitchen
and en-suite toilet and shower facilities.
The site will offer 24 hour security with CCTV and a fully staffed office for any help or information that you might need. Communal laundry facilities will be available on site.

The common room has large screen TV, pool tables, table football and vending machines.

There is a roof garden above the common room and seating in the central courtyard.

Coin-operated laundry facilities are available on site.
Refectory/Learning Resource Centre
These facilities is available in the academic block.
On-site Support
The main entrance to Paragon and each block is accessed using a swipe card system. Flats and Study Bedrooms are accessed via keys. Touareg has a customer service team located in a central management suite. This will include 24 hour security via CCTV cameras, security personnel, caretaking and a 24 hour on-call service to provide an emergency response to any urgent safety and security issues. A team of students wardens is also available on site, out of office hours, to assist with any problems you may have.
Students are encouraged to register with the local doctors practice to ensure they have primary health care cover in place.
TV License
You are advised that if you bring a television to Paragon, you are responsible for obtaining a TV Licence for it.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in any internal area on the Paragon site, including bedrooms, kitchen, hallways, launderette and the common room.
There are excellent bus and rail services nearby giving quick and easy access to central London.
Tube
Boston Manor (Piccadilly line) approx 10 minutes walk from Paragon Accommodation.
Train
Brentford station – approximately 5 minutes walk to the south with a 20 minutes journey into central London.

The tenancy period is 44 weeks or 52 weeks. One semester tenancies are available for students on work placement and/or Study Abroad/Erasmus students.
You must return your Student Residence Agreement with the first term’s rent payment to secure your room at Paragon. Second and third installments will be payable at the beginning of each term.
All bedrooms have internet access, which is included in the rental.

Reservation Fee
If you wish to apply for residential accommodation at Paragon you will be required to send a £300 reservation fee.
Please note that if you have been made an offer of accommodation, a refund of the reservation fee may not be possible if you do not take up residence, since the University has incurred costs in obtaining the room of you.
However the reservation fee will be refunded in the following circumstances
- Failure to meet the entry criteria (new students)
- Failure to obtain a Visa
- Expulsion from the University
