Sports journalism is about the passion for sports and the desire to communicate this same passion to readers and listeners. Sports journalism is therefore written with an eye-catching and entertaining fervour different from other forms of journalism.

All sports journalism requires the ability to communicate with an audience but the different media require different skills and training. Here we equip students with the flexibility to deliver exciting news in a variety of formats:

Students will be able to understand that sports writing and the power to:

∙ Give audiences powerful sports news
∙ Promote and build audience participation in sports
∙ Use sport to write non-sports news
∙ Build the brand for the world and elite sport products & services
∙ Promote sports as an attractive medium for sponsorship with
  the strong root of fostering marketing related and building
  participation base
∙ Promote tourism and become the main contributor to the
  revenue of the country

Entry requirements

∙ 2 principals STPM/'A' levels or equivalent or
∙ 5 credits SPM/'O' levels or equivalent
∙ IELTS grade 5.0 or equivalent and
∙ Limkokwing's Foundation in Communication

Students with recognised prior learning such as Pre-University, Matriculation programme, or a diploma in a related field will be given advanced standing into the degree programme.
