The degree programme is jointly offered by Limkokwing University College of Creative Technology and Curtin University of Technology, one of the most comprehensive universities in Australia. The curriculum of the programme is fully delivered by Limkokwing University College of Creative Technology and moderated by Curtin University of Technology, Australia.

The curriculum of the Faculty of Architecture & The Built Environment offers a broad education in professional architectural subjects. An emphasis on the solving of actual theoretical problems enhances the knowledge and skills that link understanding to experience, theory to practice and art to science in ways that directly respond to human needs, aspirations and sensibilities. Through its consortium of architects, interior designers, engineers, quantity surveyors and lecturers, the faculty aims to provide a service to society and the profession by enhancing the state-of-the-art in architectural design, technology and the urban environment.

The Architectural Science programme is a 3+0 degree course that leads to Bachelor Degree in Applied Science in Architectural Science awarded by Curtin University of Technology and equivalent to the Part 1.

Entry requirements

∙ 2 principals STPM/'A’ levels or equivalent
∙ 5 credits SPM/O’ levels or equivalent
∙ Limkokwing’s Foundation in Built Environment

Students with recognised prior learning such as matriculation programme, or a diploma in a related field will be given advanced standing into the degree programme.

Transfer students

Portfolio assessment by the Programme Leader is required to assess appropriate level of entry into the Architectural Science. The majority of transfer students who have completed the minimum of a Diploma in Architecture or its equivalent are accepted into the programme but must undertake required units which is determined by an assessment of syllabi, results and standard of student’s work comparable to Limkokwing/Curtin standard.

Curtin University's admission requirements for Bachelor of Architecture programme

Entry into the fourth-year Architecture Science programme at Curtin University that leads to the Bachelor of Architecture degree is granted to students who have been awarded the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) and a semester weighted average of 60% and above for the third-year Architecture Science programme.

Transfer students have to show proof of English proficiency to be eligible for entry. Besides ‘A’ Levels English, English Examinations for college entrance such as toefl, ielts and 1119 are acceptable.

The Bachelor of Architecture degree is recognised by Pertubuhan Akitek Malasysia (Malaysian Architects Association) as being equivalent to the Part 2 of the Registration Examination.
